This Group was set up in 2008 and is intended to encourage interest in the period since 1945 across the transport modes. This is an era which, in many cases, has seen nationalisation and de-nationalisation, modernisation and increased awareness of heritage, worthy of putting on the record. All aspects of modern transport are discussed in the quarterly newsletter (January, April, July and October) which is sent out to group members either by email or post. The co-ordinator (Ray Shill – email: firstname.lastname@example.org) welcomes contributions or images for the newsletter. Papers dealing with the modern development of railways, waterways, ports & shipping and roads from members are always appreciated. Correspondence and short update notes are also appreciated.
Transport Change Recording – it is a feature of this group that information published in current transport periodicals, newspapers and on the internet are selectively reproduced to reflect the changing face of transport.
