Regeneration and Restoration: Canals

As historians we have an interest not only in the past but in work that brings the past back to life.

This page lists canal regeneration and restoration projects in the RCHS south-west region of which we are aware.  Please let us know via swgroupsec@rchs.org.uk of any additions, inaccuracies we should include.  We would particularly welcome information on the canals identified as not having any current restoration activity.

In some cases towns are shown to help identify the area of the canal.  Click on the canal name to be taken to a website, usually that of the organisation leading the work.
