 hest north of Britain.\nBill is a semi-retired accountant working in indus
 try. He has had an interest in all forms of transport\, particularly railw
 ays\, and engineering from an early age. Following on from this\, an inter
 est in industrial history emerged. As a result\, he is an active member of
  several local and national societies which cater for these interests.\nTh
 e talk is a brief look at the pre-grouping Highland Railway from the south
  and east to Inverness\, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. It covers 
 the infrastructure and trains from early days to the current scene. Part 2
  covers the lines to the north and west of Inverness.
