The Companion to Road Passenger Transport History Story: illustrated with examples from the North West

The first talk of the NW Group’s indoor meeting programme for 2018-19 will be given by Dr Martin Higginson of the University of York.

Martin, who also runs his own transport history consultancy, was editor of the Road Transport History Association’s Companion to Road Passenger Transport History which won the RCHS 2016 prize for the best non-railway transport history book. As well as including a general review of how the work was compiled, the talk will illustrated by a selection of examples of important aspects of transport history focusing on NW England and North Wales.

The talk will take place in The Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester, M2 5NS commencing at 2:00pm.
