It has recently been announced that public operation of the Tram Train will not commence until Thursday 25th October so this event will now be a tour of the whole of the Sheffield Supertram Network. Holders of ENCTS (Senior Citizen) passes can travel free on Supertram after 9.30am. Sheffield bus & tram dayrider tickets for those without a concessionary pass cost £4.40 and can be purchased from the conductor on the tram.
The meeting place and time remain unchanged: Meadowhall Interchange Supertram concourse/waiting room at 10.30.
In the morning the group will travel from Meadowhall Interchange to Middlewood and Malin Bridge termini. We will return to Sheffield city centre for a lunch break. After regrouping, during the afternoon we will travel to the termini at Herdings Park and Halfway. Return into the centre of Sheffield will be via Midland Station which will provide a convenient exit option for those travelling by train. Those wishing to return to the start point will finally take a tram from Fitzalan Square to Meadowhall Interchange. Leaders: Graham Hague and Peter Martin (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
